CLEVELAND OH
Cozad-Bates House

The project scope of the Cozad-Bates House included critical repairs to the building foundations and reuse of the oldest portions of the building on the first floor along with the exterior envelope on the second floor. A Community Room connects past to present with exhibits that outline how the impacts of slavery are still seen in today’s social issues. The large windows in the Community Room were preserved and repaired, while the remaining windows and doors were replaced with compatible systems to replicate the original design. Significant masonry repairs were completed. The exterior side porch was reconstructed to match the original layout.
