CLEVELAND OH
Gateway for Jacobs Pavilion

Jacobs Pavilion was seeking to rebrand itself to feel more integral with Cleveland’s Cuyahoga River front and took on an industrial port concept. Creating a new entry to the site, the gateway structure mimics the lifting action of the jack knife bridges, as each section represents a different position of this movement. This is anchored by the existing iconic Jack Knife bridge in the background as patrons enter. The scattered buildings on the site were reclad to simulate shipping containers, but by using natural wood cladding as accents kept a warm and welcoming feel to the venue.
